Our Story
The Addict Fit Story
On August 30th, 2017, while working as a Personal Vacation Planner, Pat Donaldson discovered a life-changing passion for fitness. At the time, he was facing one of the hardest chapters of his life — homeless and living out of his car. The gym became his sanctuary: a place to work out, clear his mind, and grab a shower before heading into work.
It was in that grind that the vision for Addict Fit was born. The name symbolized a relentless commitment — an addiction to becoming better, stronger, and more disciplined through fitness. Even while working at a Fortune 500 company in the cruise industry, Pat stayed devoted to his workouts, using fitness as a tool to maintain his focus and sanity.
But there was one major challenge: clean clothes. Living in his car meant he often didn’t have enough fresh gear to feel confident throughout the week. That struggle sparked a new idea — to create athletic apparel that felt good, fit well, and empowered people not just physically, but mentally.

A Brand is Born
On May 20, 2020, as COVID-19 forced the cruise industry to shut down and employees were sent home, Pat saw an opportunity. Just before leaving, he ran a small test run of Addict Fit muscle shirts. They sold out the same day.
People didn’t just want the shirts — they connected with the story, the grit, and the vision. They weren’t just buying clothes — they were investing in a movement.

The Meaning Behind the Logo
At the heart of Addict Fit is the Panther Mascot — a symbol of inner power and fearless resilience. The panther represents a born leader: decisive, humble, strong, fast, and relentless. Panthers hunt with precision, operate in silence, and enter beast mode when it’s time to strike.
In the gym — and in life — that’s the mindset we embody.
Wearing the Addict Fit logo means more than just style. It symbolizes:
• Strength
• Loyalty
• Vision
• Power
It’s a call to embrace the grind, overcome adversity, and show up with purpose.

The Official Launch
On November 25, 2022, Addict Fit officially launched from Pat’s apartment in downtown Miami, FL. What started in the back of a car had now become a brand — a movement — dedicated to those who hustle through the hard times and never quit.
This is more than clothing.
This is a lifestyle.
This is Addict Fit.
